In this class we focus on language development, basic Math skills, environmental awareness, art and craft, story telling, Hindi and Montessori activities.
Application method of teaching.
Subjects included:
- English-Reading and writing of the English alphabet Aa-Zz and Phonic sounds of the alphabet. Readiness to read 2,3 and 4 letter words. Vowels and consonants. Articles a/an. Concept of this, that, these, those, here, there, on, under, above etc. Rhyming words, action words, opposites. Reading, story telling picture composition, conversation, rhymes. Learn to write by looking at the BOARD.
- Maths- Concept of more-less, full-empty, heavy-light, hard-soft etc. Numbers- 1-200 both oral and written work. Number names 1-100. Missing numbers 1-100. After, before and in between. Skip counting. Ascending and descending order. Less than, greater than and equal to. Addition and subtraction. Ordinals. Number line. Time. Days of week and months of the year. Shapes. Money.
- EVS/GK- Concepts about myself, my body, sense organs, my family, my school, fruits and vegetables, flowers, birds, animals and their homes, plants, rain cycle, traffic signal, germination, solar system, festivals, seasons, transport, living and non-living, manners and habits etc.
- Kannada – To read and write basics.
- Hindi- Read and write vowels and consonants. 2 and 3 letter words. Make sentences. Rhymes, stories. Numbers 1-20. Names of colours, days of week, fruits, vegetables, birds etc.
- Use of Montessori materials.
- Also get them ready to attend interviews for the next class.
